Environmental Impact Assessment

An Environmental Impact Assessment provides a comprehensive understanding of the environmental damage being produced by the operations of your business. It helps to identify, calculate and report on various emission types that span across scope one, two and three, and should be considered the foundational step on any better business transformation undertaken.

Having a clear understanding of what emission sources exist within your business and which, are contributing most to the overall emissions being produced, enables informed decision making. This is key not only for subsequent steps such as reduction and responsible offset but also for cost efficiency when it comes to investment in these areas as well.

There are many benefits for undertaking an Environmental Impact Assessment, such as the ability to communicate the outputs to key stakeholder groups, reputational benefits for the business brand, refined commitment to specific environmental goals relating to emission reduction and operational efficiencies.

Understanding your business emissions is also a requirement for many environmental certifications such as B-Corporation.

Are you an individual rather than a business? We also create expedition impact reports, which can be found here.

"Before working with Pinnacle, we were using an online calculator which turned out to be inaccurate by nearly 200%, meaning we were falling short of our obligations when it came to environmental, as part of our better business journey."
